Joanne Knight is a Melbourne writer. Over the last ten years I have been employed and volunteered as an advocate in the community sector in Melbourne and Darwin . I have a law degree from Northern Territory University (now Charles Darwin University) and am currently studying a Masters of International Relations at Monash University. I believe in equality, especially economic equality, and have written in The Age newspaper about the ways in which the current economic system seriously undermines and continuously dismantles any attempts to bring about a fair distribution of wealth in the world. I am a big fan of Naomi Klein’s Shock Doctrine. I have also written on human rights, employment law, housing, terrorism, etc.
